Patient positioned supine. Affected arm at the patients side. Contralateral arm above the head.

Scan from above the acromio-clavicular joint through to the proximal humeral shaft, include the whole of the fracture.

Step 1. Acquire an axial dataset.
Step 2. Use axial data set to obtain sagittal reformats. Align parallel to the glenoid as shown, include the whole of the scapula wing. (Fig1)
Step 3. Use axial data set to obtain coronal reformats. Align perpendicular to the glenoid as shown. (Fig2)
